Concept     Goal
Awareness of Self and Others   .... To improve awareness of self and others. Topics include: physical appearance, personality characteristics, relatedness to people in our lives, likes and dislikes.
Body Language     To improve skills in body language and pragmatic language. Different aspects of body language include: Facial expressions; Eyes; Hand gestures; Body in place; Touching; Posture; Fidgeting; Appearance.
Communication     To improve communication skills. Focuses on various aspects of communication: Physical aspects - body language; Aspects of Voice
Social Language:
Focus on Conversation
    Improve the content and mechanics of conversation. Focuses on: Starting and Ending conversations; Taking turns; Listening skills; Topical conversation skills; Reciprocal Commenting
Emotional Development and Awareness     Improving ability to identify and understand emotions; Expressing emotions; Causes of emotions and Consequences of Emotions.
Problem Solving and Critical Thinking     Improve the ability to pick up subtleties present in many situations where critical thinking is crucial. Focuses on: Identifying problems; Problem solving; Critical thinking about danger, listening, other people's behavior and the difference between fact and opinion.
